What you are about to hear is an event that actually took place a few years ago. You are going to hear some voices of different hams such as Leni K4LJK, me David N1IB, and Gary KH6WD who is a silent key now. Fortunately this is not the event that facilitated his passing. I will tell you that he passed in his sleep and I can only hope that he felt no pain when he went. This was recorded from the output of the W4DOC 2-meter repeater on 146.820 here in Atlanta, GA more info on the repeater click on W4DOC. There are breaks in the recording because of the way it was made. The person responsible for the recording is Rene KF4ZYN. He had his computer set up to monitor the repeater output and record what was said. So I hope you will understand that it is not a perfect recording. The weather that day was not great but it was nice enough for Gary to go for a walk. Fortunately he had his radio with him.
